VNL and BSNL signed an MoU while agreeing to collaborate for the “Relief 123” service during the three day event. The “Relief 123” service is an integrated Disaster Response solution for first responders and public safety agencies. The solution is designed and manufactured by VNL and the backhaul connectivity will be provided by BSNL. The service has been designed to work in different scenarios including natural disasters such as earthquakes, storms, floods and tsunamis.
Another major development at India Mobile Congress was the launch of ResQMobil by VNL. ResQMobil will be a key offering from the company within its portfolio of disaster management solutions. It aids emergency response by providing an independent communication network to first responders and supports search and rescue operations by providing mobile location of affected civilians, and integrating with different legacy radio networks to provide actionable information to authorities seeking a bigger picture.
The solution can be tailored to specific area or country requirements and is designed to work during all natural and man-made disasters in addition to fires, and terrorist, chemical or nuclear attacks making it one of the most relevant solutions for disaster management.
VNL’s products and solutions for disaster management and rural connectivity that were on display at the event generated a lot of buzz. Our team had some notable discussions with representatives of Facebook, Google, Reliance Jio and COAI.
