VNL is proud to announce its participation at the India Mobile Congress 2017, alongside BSNL, from 27th to 29th September at Pragati Maidan. We will be showcasing some of our ground-breaking solutions for Disaster Relief and Rural Connectivity. In light of the recent spate of natural disasters that have hit the world, our Disaster Management solutions have never been more relevant.
Connecting the Next Billion is not just the theme of IMC 2017. It continues to be a challenge for developing countries across the world. Which is why we’re also showcasing our Cloud-based Village-network solution that can change the face of last mile connectivity across the world. The solution can be deployed in a matter of hours to provide connectivity in the remotest of regions.
Another highlight at the event, worth looking out for will be the introduction of the “Relief 123” service for Disaster Management in collaboration with BSNL. Both the companies will be signing a memorandum of understanding to the same effect. The “Relief 123” service is an integrated Disaster Response Solution designed to assist First Responders and Public Safety Agencies.
In times of disaster such as floods, earthquakes, cyclones, tsunamis etc, communication networks are among the first things to break down and setting up a reliable network becomes an immediate requirement. VNL having successfully developed portable emergency communication solutions in the past is best suited to jointly offer this service to relief agencies in collaboration with BSNL.
The solution will be designed and manufactured by VNL and backhaul connectivity will be provided by BSNL. VNL and BSNL have partnered in the past to roll out mobile and broadband connectivity in ten, Left-Wing Extremism affected states in India. Also, very recently, VNL has managed to become the most successful bidder for the North-East connectivity project announced by BSNL. Introduction of the “Relief 123 Service” will be another major step in a series of successful partnerships between the two companies.
